Raised in the Manawatu, Sean attended Feilding High School. Inspired by his grandfather Wilnor, he grew up tinkering with building tools in the shed while most kids his age were playing with Legos.

After finishing school Sean wasted no time and chose to start his journey with a building apprenticeship working in commercial build projects for larger building companies. He then explored the residential side of building and was able to bring the knowledge from his commercial background and merge it with his residential knowledge finding a unique flair and affinity for colonial renovations, extension work and landscaping.

Sean’s wife, Cody has now joined Cupples Construction, helping Sean with the day to day running of the business while looking after their young family. Cupples Construction remains a business with strong family values and she is the better half that completes the Cupple behind the business.
